Simon’s Museum/Friends’ diary for the rest of the year:

1. 19^th August @ 3pm, we have Bella Poetica Music performing at the Museum. Funds being raised for the Teddy Bear Clinic.
2. 29^th August – Friends of the STM lecture @ 5.30 for 6pm: Danny Gildenhuys – Indigenous Flora
3. Packing of handbags and delivery to Rape Crisis last week of August – delivery on 30^th/31^st August depending on how much comes in.
4. 19^th September – Friends of the STM lecture @ 5.30 for 6pm: Mike Bruton – Finding Old Fourlegs – Story of the Coelacanth
5. Movies being screened on the mornings (@11am) and afternoons (@2pm) of 19^th to 21^st September – in collaboration with Exploring Consciousness.
6. Building of the Sand Mandala by Tibetan lamas, as well as talks by Tibetan healers at the Museum, from 25^th to 29^th September 2018.
7. Heritage Day on 24^th September 2018.
8. 31^st October – Friends of the STM lecture @ 5.30 for 6pm: Willem Steenkamp – The Fallen Heroes of WWI
9. 28^th November – Friends of the STM lecture @ 5.30 for 6pm: To be announced
10. Knit-a-Jersey for HIV/Aids Orphans – project to start from September (or now if people are happy to start knitting) and delivery to charity on 3^rd / 4^th December.

Simonstown Museum is also appealing for new volunteers for the Museum and for new members for the Friends of Simon’s Town Museum.
